The Grand Futur

The idea for the project was influenced generally from the ocean but more specifically from a ship. Grand Futur hosts the German shipping company Intership Navigation company that has been headquartered in Limassol for the past 25 years.

The structure of the building, both exterior and interior, is made of anti-seismic metal structure using alucobond, glass and timber. The building features raised flooring and false ceilings to accommodate the heavy duty wiring that is needed. The building as a whole includes underground parking and storage rooms, office space, conference rooms and a cafeteria for the staff. The center of the building features a big skylight which lets all the natural light in.

The basic architectural concept of a comfortable and friendly working environment in office has lead to a challenging design, meeting high standards of acoustic and lighting comforts. By having the natural light, all around glass elevators and the use of glass as room dividers, optical communication is enhanced between all floors creating a live and more pleasant environment for both the staff and the visitors.

Grand Futur has been Shortlisted for the IA & E Office Award 2015.
